Located in Chicago (Magnificent Mile - River North), Trump International Hotel & Tower, also known simply as Trump Tower Chicago or Trump Tower, is close to the Wrigley Building, built from 1920-1924 to serve as the corporate headquarters for the Wrigley Chewing gum Company.
The Wrigley Building is one of my favorite buildings in the city, old or new. The detail is incredible from top to bottom. Trump Tower setbacks pay homage to the Art Deco-era skyscrapers that made Chicago a living architectural museum.
Trump International Hotel & Tower is triumphant addition to the skyline: sleek, supple, and sophisticated. The skyscraper manages to reach for the stars without stepping on the feet of other buildings in the area. To its neighbors, it appears as an equal.
There is a harmony between these buildings as they all seem to play off of one another in some manner.
