Mary's Bar Los Cerillos, New Mexico

The tiny living ghost town of Cerrillos on Highway 14 (aka Turquoise Trail), less than 20 miles away from Santa Fe, NM is a place to truly hide - not just from people, but from the present day. The town that was once seriously considered as the capitol of New Mexico looks and feels as if everyone has left. But that's not really true.

Those who do live here enjoy the facade of a deserted place. And they enjoy a cold beer at a ramshackle-looking joint called Mary's Bar, one of those rare places that transcends authenticity as if the Wild West has never faded.

Bad-luck omikuji in Asakusa Tokyo Japan

New work posted today ...

Omikuji is literally a "sacred lottery". Random fortunes are written on strips of paper and can be purchased at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples all over Japan.

To get rid of any bad karma just tie the daikyou (bad luck) paper strip to a wall of metal wires alongside the shrine- or temple ground and you are all set.
The concept is: Leave the bad luck at the shrine, were the divine spirit can exorcise it, and take the daikichi (good luck) home with you.

About bitdesign.co.yu 's spamming and hacking attacks on his customers

If you are reading this you are probably a very upset blog owner. You have no doubt received hundreds of automated submissions "advertising" ct-graphics' website as an adult- and pharma site with pseudo funny and even criminal entries, and my email addresses, address, date and place of birth, telephone number and ... and ... and..
We would like to thank all blog owners who brought and still bring to our attention this problem. Rest assured we are not behind the overtly stupid spamming. No one in the right state of his mind would post real own sensitive personal and business data freely on the Internet, let alone in combination with the criminal offending text that was used.

Many blog owners have provided us information that helped us to find the real culprit. Most owners reported that the attacks are coming from the dynamic IP Addresses listed below. The spammer is the owner of Bit Design / SEO Bit Design, a Belgrade, Yugoslavia (Serbia) web design and SEO agency, Laza / Lazic Slobodan, also known as stackom ( Stackom ) - as such administrator in charge on two illegal software forums -, virusvertigo and many more names (google the terms and you will see!).
He confirmed more than once to us and others in writing that he is the splogger. He also confirmed that all the splogging is no effort to him, done by clicking a few buttons, and that it is all just a question of "skills". He is very proud that neither Google nor other search engines and ct-graphics never were and will be able to find all of his posts.
Have patience with him. He is a very sick person who just doesn't know the difference between right and wrong, lie and truth, a pervert who has to use the web as a vent for his sick secret criminal fantasies ( ch* p**n, etc! ).
ct-graphics and I did nothing that caused his attacks - except that we stopped paying him again and again thousand and hundreds of US $ for a job he was not able to accomplish.

In short: Slobodan started this after ct-graphics dropped him as it's SEO consultant as soon as we recognized what a losy job he's doing. He simply is not up to any kind of honest work. He uses stolen software, stolen scripts, stolen templates (mostly template monster ( tm) templates), and all illegal tricks one can think of. We and our programmer could not approve that. The moment we dropped him we knew what was coming, because he has launched similar attacks against other customers who were not willing to work with him and pay him any longer, for example a business owner in Northern California and a Scottish Property Maintenance Company. And he has splogged blogs with links to his own websites long before he started to attack ct-graphics.
If you need more details, please send us an email. We have a more than 3 GB log file (including Audio) ready for download, but we can also provide a smaller file without Audio. Many blog owners, even his next-door-neighbors, downloaded it by now. It provides all the details you might want to know. We promise it is well worth the effort!

Please block these IP addresses (IP ranges) as the splogging by Bit Design / SEO Bit Design might still go on. Now, that more and more blog owners find and read this web page and react to it, he defaces blogs using other tricks, of course not without advertising his own web site. He has an endless amount of blooming criminal fantasy, criminal "artistic skills", nothing else to do, no life and a little script which he calls his "skills".

We have contacted the Serbian host for those IPs - they did not respond at all. Probably they don't care, but it is also possible that they cannot just shut down the IP ranges 194-106. and 212-200. as it would turn off hundreds of websites, and if they did the splogger would turn to IP spoofing and use proxy servers to fake his IP address as he does regularly anyway. We also have contacted the abuse department at our host and Google, Yahoo, MSN, Alexa, Wikipedia, etc. We got very positive, encouraging answers.
Many people tried to help. We are photographers, not IT/network consultants. We don't know what technically we can do to stop the harassment. We have been told that hosting companies are required to shut down accounts like this. As of now they show no reaction, but they may just be his victim too, since Slobodan is a notorious liar who knows well how to use "powerful"words.
So if anybody knows a solution that works, please let us know.

From a legal standpoint we have contacted a few lawyers who deal in these kind of things. They told us that this is relatively common and are educating us how to collect proof for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) for use in both a civil law suite and a criminal case. What Slobodan relies on is that the case is pretty much pointless since he lives in Belgrade / Serbia (one of the most curruptive countries in the world!) while we are in the U.S. But still, if anybody knows a good Internet lawyer, please forward their info.

For those of you who are still skeptical if we are behind this attacks all we can tell you is: There is absolutely no benefit to a company to do blog spamming. Any good search engine optimizer knows that all major search engines have blog link filters. The only possible outcome of splog is a large amount of negative PR which is exactly what the splogger has accomplished, and obviously continues to work toward.
And why on earth would we pay a fortune to use foreign Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to do something that gets us banned or penalized by all search engines for sure? It took Slobodan a while to come up with that gag. It's just another proof for how off his poor mind is. He must be in an awful situation. We feel very sorry for him. However, many people had a good laugh about it so far.
ct-graphics is neither banned nor penalized by search engines - quite the contrary! And we work on ct-graphics every day to satisfy our customers and keep the site up-to-date.

There is also absolutely no benefit to me and my family to post my (our) own sensitive data thousands of times on hundreds of blogs and guestbooks. For us the only outcome of this was that we got an enormous amount of spam, threads by email and phone, bank-account- and other password hacking attempts, etc. But that's history! Meanwhile all email addresses are changed, we found the perfect solution for the ones we can't change without effecting the ongoing communication with our customers, and we no longer answer the phone.

What possible gain could the splogger achieve with what is characterized as "cyber terrorism" on our small business photo site and my privacy? We don't know. What he says lacks any logic, but he seems to firmly believe his own lies. Looks like an "out of the book" case of narcissism. These days he says he wants to stop. We wonder why he ever started. This is bizarre!

In any event, if you get the spam, please check the IP address used and email us. Not only will we provide you our IP address but also detailed information, and we will SHOW you some of the dirty illegal tricks Bit Design's Slobodan uses on his own sites.

If we all work together we can help stop another evil thief. It is way to easy to deploy these kind of cowardly attacks on small businesses. The kind of cyber terrorism he's performing (hiding behind someone elses identity and blackmailing others via Search Engines) has gotten completely out of hand. It is particularly damaging to small businesses like ours (yours and mine).
To anyone who can help us: Your help is appreciated. Thank you.

Wishing you continued success,

Christine Till

St Patricks Day Shamrocks - First green of spring

One traditional icon of St. Patrick's Day is the shamrock. This stems from a Irish tale that tells how Patrick used a three-leafed clover to explain how the Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit could all exist as separate elements of the same entity. Saint Patrick's followers adopted the custom of wearing shamrocks on his feast day. To this day the shamrock remains the national emblem of Ireland and is worn proudly by Irish people all over the world on St. Paddy's Day (March 17).
One reason why Paddy's Day has become so popular is that it takes place just a few days before the first day of spring. St Patricks little clovers have become a symbol for the first green of the new season.

Marbled Godwits at Sunset

Sand, surf and tranquility - that's Southern California's beaches at sunset.
One of the many shorebirds found off the coast of Southern California are Marbled Godwits. They push their long bills all the way into the sand, right down to their faces, then come up with a tidbit to eat.
The birds provide many opportunities for photography, as do Southern California sunsets; they are always lovely over the water.

Manitou Cliff Dwellings

The Manitou Cliff Dwellings in Colorado, just west of Colorado Springs, US, presents a unique look at Native American culture.

The cave dwellings are a wonderful place to experience the architecture of the prehistoric Native American indians and a must visit for anyone interested in history.

Yellow Star Tulip Flower - Calochortus monophyllus

Calochortus monophyllus, a perennial herb known by the common names Yellow Star-Tulip, Yellow-Star Mariposa Lily, Cat Ears and Yellow pussy ears, is a species of flowering plant in the lily family. It is native to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada and southernmost Cascades in California. Each flower has three pointed sepals and three more rounded petals, all rich yellow with a soft, dense beard of fine yellow hairs.
The Yellow Star Tulip flower essence works with issues of sensitivity. It helps us to feel what others are feeling, and to sensitize ourselves to our environment, thus developing qualities of empathy and understanding.
